Training and Development Academy
Re-opened in 2005 after a major refurbishment the Training and Development Academy (TADA) in Croxteth provides training for all staff, external customers, partner agencies and community groups.
As well as custom firefighting training facilities the centre has conference rooms, syndicate working areas, classrooms and a media theatre available for hire to outside groups and customers with our own restaurant and full media technical support.

A new edition was the £500,000 realistic training building that allows us to recreate all the stages of fire development for firefighters to deal with, but in a safe and controlled environment.
Our large purpose-built live fire area is equipped with LPG powered props to recreate industrial fires and is used by both our own firefighters, and outside groups attending one of our courses.
The live fire are, coupled with our conference and catering facilities is sometimes used by companies wishing to put on demonstrations of their equipment and products especially in the fire-engineering and extinguishment fields.

The Commercial Training Department delivers a range of training courses designed to meet the needs of industry and commerce in Merseyside and beyond.
Courses tailored to your individual requirements can be provided either at the Safety Training Centre or at your own premises.
