Firefighters Free Two People From Cars Following Collision In Bootle

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called to a road collision in Bootle.

Firefighters attended Bank Road at around 12.20pm after two cars were involved in a collision.

A man, believed to be in his 50s, was released from a red car by fire crews who used hydraulic cutting equipment.

A woman, believed to be in her 40s, was freed from a blue car by firefighters.

They were both released from the vehicles using long boards and were taken to Aintree Hospital by ambulance.

Two fire appliances from Kirkdale and Crosby community fire stations were called out. Firefighters were there for around an hour.
