Bicycle Handle Removed From Boy's Leg In New Ferry

Firefighters removed a bicycle brake handle from a boy's leg in New Ferry.

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called out to Thornburn Road at around 8.20pm on Saturday, June 21.

Fire crews used a tool kit to remove the brake handle from the boy's leg.

The boy was taken to Arrowe Park Hospital suffering a leg injury.

Two fire appliances from Bromborough and Birkenhead community fire stations were called out. Firefighters were there for around 45 minutes.
