Crews called to plastic on fire in Maghull, Sefton

Firefighters were called to a quantity of plastic on fire on Leighton Avenue in Maghull, Sefton just before 6.30pm on Monday March 13.
Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called at 6.18pm and crews were alerted at 6.19pm. They were on scene at 6.27pm.
Three fire engines attended the incident and crews used high pressure hose reels to extinguish the fire.
Crews then dampened down the area. No-one was injured.
The fire sent a plume of smoke in to the air which swiftly dissipated.
A large quantity of smoke was severely damaged by fire and a steel frame was damaged by heat.
Firefighters remained at the scene for around 40 minutes.
