Kitchen fire in Seaforth

Muspratt Road, Seaforth

Firefighters were called to a fire at a property on Muspratt Road in Seaforth at 1.28am on Tuesday, October 17.

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called at 1.22am and crews were alerted at 1.23am. They were on scene at 1.28pm.

Three fire engines attended the incident and crews used high pressure hose reels to extinguish the fire, which was located in the kitchen.

Firefighters then ventilated the property and searched for remaining areas of heat.

All occupiers were out of the property when firefighters arrived. Three people were taken to hospital for precautionary checks.

Three dogs were rescued from the property by firefighters.

The kitchen, stairs and landing of the property were damaged by fire.

The property sustained smoke damage.

Firefighters remained at the scene for almost three hours.
