Fire involving grill and ducting in Liverpool city centre

Firefighters were called to a fire involving a grill and ducting at a premises on Bold Street in Liverpool at 1.43pm on Friday, October 27.

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called at 1.36pm and crews were alerted at 1.37pm. They were on scene at 1.43pm.

Three fire engines attended the incident, which occurred on the ground floor of the property.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus used high pressure hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters carried out a systematic search of all floors of the building, checked for fire spread and used a PPV fan to ventilate the area.

All persons were accounted for and no-one was injured.

A quantity of ducting was damaged by fire. The ground floor of the property sustained smoke damage.

Firefighters remained at the scene for around three hours.
