Two-vehicle road traffic collision near Liverpool city centre

Firefighters were called to a two-vehicle road traffic collision on Sefton Street, Liverpool, at 10.34am on Thursday, December 14.

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called at 10.34am and crews were alerted at 10.37am. They were on scene at 10.43am.

Two fire engines and the Search and Rescue team attended the incident, which involved a lorry and a car, and crews used hydraulic equipment to extract one person from the car.

The individual was checked for injuries at the scene but did not require hospital treatment. There were no further injuries.

Firefighters remained at the scene for around an hour.
