Deep fat fryer fire in Norris Green, Liverpool

Firefighters were called to a fire involving a deep fat fryer at a shop on Muirhead Avenue East in Norris Green, Liverpool at 11.15am on Friday, December 15.

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called at 11.09am and crews were alerted at 11.10am. They were on scene at 11.15am.

Two fire engines attended the incident and crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel and a Compressed Air Foam System to extinguish the fire.

Three people were assessed at the scene by paramedics and found to be uninjured.

The shop, including a cooking range area, sustained fire and smoke damage.

Firefighters remained at the scene for around one hour and fifteen minutes.
