Kitchen fire in Walton, Liverpool

Firefighters were called to a fire involving a pan of food at a property in Carisbrooke Road, Walton, Liverpool at 3.18pm on Tuesday, December 19.

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called at 3.18pm and crews were alerted at 3.19pm. They were on scene at 3.24pm.

Two fire engines attended the incident and crews wearing breathing apparatus used a high pressure hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, before ventilating the property.

There were no injuries.

The kitchen sustained heat damage and the rest of the ground floor sustained light smoke damage.

Firefighters remained at the scene for around 35 minutes.
