Bathroom fire in Bootle

Firefighters were called to a fire at a property on Marl Road in Bootle at 8.47pm on Tuesday, December 19.

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called at 8.40pm and crews were alerted at 8.41pm. They were on scene at 8.47pm.

Three fire engines attended the incident, which involved a fire in a bathroom at the property.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus used a high pressure hose reel to extinguish the fire.

They then ventilated the property and fitted three new smoke alarms.

One person was assessed at the scene by paramedics and taken to hospital for precautionary checks.

A bathroom and a bin were severely damaged by fire. The property sustained smoke damage.

Firefighters remained at the incident for around 90 minutes.
