House fire in Fairfield, Liverpool

Firefighters were called to a fire at a property on Fairfield Street in Fairfield, Liverpool at 9.29pm on Thursday, December 21.

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called at 9.22pm and crews were alerted at 9.23pm. They were on scene at 9.29pm.

Five fire engines and an aerial appliance attended the incident, which occurred in the loft space of the property.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used high pressure hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

Crews used a thermal imaging camera to check adjacent properties for fire spread.

No-one was injured. The roof space and first floor of the property were severely damaged by fire.

The property sustained smoke damage.
