Restaurant fire in Liverpool city centre

Firefighters were called to a fire at a restaurant in Exchange Flags, Liverpool city centre at 5.08pm on Tuesday, January 23.

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called at 4.59pm and crews were alerted at 5pm. They were on scene at 5.08pm.

Two fire engines attended the incident, which involved an ethanol bath burner on fire.

Crews used a foam extinguisher to put the fire out. No-one was injured.

An ethanol burner and a quantity wooden window sill was damaged by fire.

Firefighters remained at the incident for around 45 minutes.
