Firefighters rescue person from bedroom fire in Norris Green, Liverpool

Firefighters were called to a bedroom fire at a property on Greenholme Close in Norris Green, Liverpool at 10.47pm on Monday, February 12.

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called at 10.40pm and crews were alerted at 10.42pm. They were on scene at 10.47pm.

Two fire engines attended the incident and crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters rescued one person from the property and gave oxygen to them at the scene.

The casualty was assessed by paramedics and taken to hospital for further checks.

A fan heater and a quantity of carpet and furniture sustained fire damage. The property was damaged by smoke.

Firefighters remained at the incident for one hour and 20 minutes.
