Fire crews help rescue man stuck in mud in Speke, Liverpool

Firefighters helped rescue a person stuck in mud close to Alderwood Avenue in Speke, Liverpool at 1.48am on Saturday, February 10.

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called at 1.36am and crews were alerted at 1.40am. They were on scene at 1.48am.

One fire engine attended the incident and crews used rope access gear to assist officers from Merseyside Police in helping the person up an embankment to safety.

The person was assessed at the scene by paramedics.

Firefighters remained at the incident for around one hour and ten minutes.
