Fire crews attended a fire in a restaurant on Allerton Road, Woolton, on Monday, 11th March.

Crews were alerted at 2.28am and were on scene at 2.35am. Two fire engines attended.

On arrival, crews found a fire in the downstairs restaurant of the two-storey building.

Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet and ventilated the property as well as a hair salon and accommodation above.

Some of the restaurant's fittings and its ceiling sustained fire damage and there was smoke damage to the whole restaurant, first floor salon and accommodation. No one was injured in the incident.
