Seagull rescued from city centre building

MFRS attended an incident on Wednesday involving a seagull trapped in netting on the Kurt Geiger shop in Church Street, Liverpool.

Crews were alerted at 12.31pm and on the scene at 12.37pm. One engine and an aerial appliance attended.

Cordons were put in place to keep the public at a safe distance.

Crew, together with a member of the RSPCA, went up in the aerial appliance to rescue the seagull, which was at a height of around 50ft.

After the rescue, the bird was passed into the care of the RSPCA.

MFRS left the scene at 1.52pm.
