Two people released from vehicle following Speke collision

Firefighters were called to Asda, Hunts Cross Shopping Park in Speke on Tuesday 6th August following a one vehicle collision.

Crews were alerted at 2.22pm and on scene at 2.27pm. Two fire engines attended as well as the search and rescue appliance.

On arrival crews found one vehicle had been involved in a collision with a lamppost. The vehicle was on all four wheels.

Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof of the vehicle. Two people were released from the vehicle using longboards and handed into the care of North West Ambulance Service.

Both people were taken to hospital for further assessment.

Crews left the scene at 3.51pm.
