Person rescued following Bootle flat fire

Firefighters rescued a person from a flat fire in Bootle on Wednesday 20th November.

Crews were alerted to the fire at the property on Trinity Road at 6.41am and on scene at 6.45am. Three fire engines attended.

On arrival crews found a fire in the kitchen of a ground floor flat. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and rescued one person. They were taken to hospital by North West Ambulance Service.

It is believed the fire started accidentally.

Firefighters left the scene at 7.47am.
