House fire, Anfield

Firefighters attended a fire at a property on Wenlock Road, Anfield, on Sunday 24th November.

Crews were alerted at 4.49am and on scene at 4.56am. Three fire engines attended as well as the search and rescue appliance.

On arrival crews found a fire well alight in the living room of the property.

Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and used two high pressure hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

Five people had exited the property prior to the fire service arriving. They were all assessed at the scene by North West Ambulance Service before being taken to hospital.

It is believed the fire started accidentally.

Firefighters left the scene at 7.25am.
