Fire Safety Audits to be carried out across Merseyside

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service will be carrying out Fire Safety Audits in Residential High Rise Premises across Merseyside beginning this Monday, 3rd July to ensure the safety of residents.

We are working closely with partner organisations such as councils and housing trusts to ensure that cladding is tested.

We are testing local water hydrant networks to ensure they are functioning correctly.

We are visiting high-rise properties to test the dry risers (vertical water mains running the height of the building) to ensure correct functioning.

Officers will be visiting residents to provide Home Fire Safety Checks and offer advice.
