So what is the 60’s+ initiative?

The Livesafe Youth Initiative is a hugely successful project that is now in its sixth year in Merseyside. It is one of the leading Community Fire Safety Programs in the Country. It is aimed at working with year 6 pupils to increase the level of fire safety in their homes, extended family and family friends.

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service has teamed up with Schools to ensure the safety of the communities in Merseyside. With the young peoples help in this initiative we are reducing the number of fire related deaths and injuries in Merseyside.

The Livesafe Youth Initiative encourages young people to identify relatives and family friends who would benefit from having a FREE home fire safety check and FREE smoke detectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for young people to get involved in a community based initiative that will help raise the level of home fire safety in their local community.
