Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service is working with 3 other Fire & Rescue Authorities (Lancashire, Greater Manchester & Cheshire) in the region to collaborate on procurement activity.
As part of this initiativewww.supply4nwfire.org.uk (a web based e-procurement platform) has been developed. With effect from April 2012, Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service’s preferred route to market for supplies, services and works will be to utilise this platform. On some occasions it will be appropriate to utilise an existing framework agreement, such as those provided by the Government Procurement Service.
Suppliers and potential suppliers can browse through contract notices for free on www.supply4nwfire.org.uk , and express an interest in the opportunities.
