Safety Week
Staff and firefighters visited homes and schools during CFOA UK Home Safety Week, promoting fire safety and the importance of having working smoke alarms.
Work was carried out across all five Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service districts, including Liverpool, Knowsley, St Helens, Wirral and Sefton.
Firefighters also promoted carbon monoxide alarms and the importance of gas appliances being checked by a Gas Safe Registered engineer each year.
Fire prevention staff visited schools and community centres, where they gave talks and carried out Home Fire Safety Checks. More than 900 homes were visited across Merseyside.
