Vulnerable people may be more susceptible to a fire in their homes and our Service offered a range of safety advice during the week to help people to stay safe in the home.
Be Prepared
Have you ever stopped to think about how your department would be able to operate in the event of an unscheduled break in critical services or resources?
How would your department continue to function if there was a major utilities failure
such as loss of power or the effects of severe weather conditions including floods? What
would you do? How would you escalate this?
Being prepared is the name of the game. In having a Business Continuity Plan that
all members of your department are aware of you can prepare for any
eventuality in advance. Your plan needn’t be complicated and doesn’t have to cover
every eventuality or every business process, just those that are most critical.
Know your plan! Keep informed! How prepared are you?
