FireFighters rescue Woman
Fire crews from St Helens and Eccleston community fire stations attended a flat on fire in St Helens.
A kitchen fire caused damage to an electric cooker, hob and chip pan. The kitchen was 50% severely damaged by fire and the remainder of the flat was moderately damaged by smoke.
Firefighters rescued a woman who was taken by ambulance to hospital.
Our Service was called at 10.13pm on Sunday, May 31, to King Street in St Helens. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose jet to extinguish the fire.
grass on Fire
Firefighters tackled a fire on two sections of grassland at Bidston Hill in the Wirral.
Our Service was called out at around 1.30pm on Tuesday, June 9.
A section of grassland measuring around 100 square metres was on fire. A section of gorse measuring around 200 square metres was also on fire.
It is suspected that the fire was started deliberately.
Two fire appliances from Wallasey and Birkenhead community fire stations were called out. Firefighters were at the scene until around 3pm.
