In this edition we introduce you to our new Firefighters-in- Development who passed out amongst friends, family and loved ones at an event held at our Training & Development Academy earlier this year.
Following 23 weeks of rigorous training they have since been assigned to Kensington and Aintree Community Fire Stations and are now operational.
Amongst these pages you will also read about the success of a pilot scheme launched in partnership with North West Ambulance Service to deliver life-saving treatments to cardiac arrest patients.
Our contribution to a project that has helped ambulance staff understand the locations of defibrillators across Merseyside is also documented.
And we profile a new communications system that is currently being developed aimed at helping all three emergency services carry out their duties more efficiently.
As always, please keep sending your stories through for inclusion in the next edition of Hot News.
