clASS OF 2015
Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service gave our wonderful Class of 2015 Apprentices a superb send off on 13 January at a celebration evening held at MFRS Headquarters.
Family and friends of the Apprentices were rightfully proud as the 12 Apprentices were presented with certificates by Deputy Chief Fire Officer Phil Garrigan, and were able to see the apprentices talk about their experiences in a superb video produced by Ellie Williams. It was a great way to celebrate the fantastic work the apprentices have done over the year they have been with the Service. We wish them well as they move on to bright futures.

Chris celebrates 40 years’ service
Fire Control Operator Chris Fraser celebrated 40 years’ service with Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service in February and was presented with a bouquet of flowers by Chief Fire Officer, Dan Stephens.
Chris began her career at Wallasey Fire Station, where she worked for fifteen years in a variety of roles before progressing to Divisional Officer Clerk.
She moved over to on to Fire Control 25 years ago and has worked across all four watches ever since.
CFO Stephens praised Chris for her “extraordinary” achievement and thanked her for her four decades of service.
Chris said: “Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service is the only place I have ever worked and I have had some great experiences and made some wonderful friends
along the way.”
Pam Sephton, Watch Manager White Watch Fire Control, said: “Chris is a valued member of Fire Control and she has made many friends because of her good sense of humour.
“She is always keen to assist and she is pleasant and professional with all callers. She carries out her duties to very high standards.
“It is a very proud moment when a member of Control reaches 40 years’ service and we were delighted that the Chief was able to mark the occasion by presenting Chris with a bouquet.
“All of Chris’s friends in Control wish her well and look forward to the next
40 years!”
