FOREWORD
It’s been a busy few months for the Service and this edition of Hot News gives a flavour of all the diverse and exciting things you have been involved in.
Our cover picture this month shows a scrapyard fire at Alexandra Dock in Bootle which took over 18 hours to tame. Sensational pictures taken at the scene are showcased in the centre pages and give an insider’s-eye view of what crews were faced with.
Since the last edition, the Service has also introduced a life-saving cardiac scheme in partnership with North West Ambulance Service. Read all about it on page five.
As always, we love to hear your news and stories so send them through by Friday, July 8 for inclusion in the July edition.
