Fatalities by deprivation

More Accidental Dwelling Fires (ADFs) occur in our most

deprived areas which, in general, results in higher numbers of

ire deaths when compared with more affluent areas.

Liverpool follows the expected pattern and has had the most ire deaths

in deprived areas while Wirral has had a more sporadic pattern and has

the greatest number of fatalities in more affluent areas.

St Helens and Knowsley both tend to match the general Merseyside

pattern of ire fatalities occurring in deprived areas.

Sefton has a different pattern with the majority of their ire deaths

occurring in affluent areas and intermediate areas.
