Location: Guildford Avenue, Netherton
Firefighters attended a fire at a house on Guildford Avenue, Netherton, on Monday 29th March.
Crews were alerted at 8.08pm and on scene at 8.14pm. Two fire engines attended.
On arrival crews found a fire in the hallway of the property. Crews used a reciprocating saw to gain access to the property and two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
The fire is believed to have been caused by a tealight that had been left unattended.
Crews carried out a home fire safety check and left the scene at 9.18pm.
