Firefighters give oxygen to casualty following kitchen fire in Speke, Liverpool

Firefighters were called to a fire that was out on arrival at a property on Lovel Way in Speke at 5.29pm on Sunday, January 14.

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called at 5.17pm and crews were alerted at 5.20pm. They were on scene at 5.29pm.

Two fire engines attended the incident, which involved a chip pan. The fire was out on arrival.

Fire crews gave oxygen to a casualty and carried out a Home Fire Safety Check at the property.

A further casualty was taken to hospital by paramedics.

A chip pan was damaged by fire and the kitchen of the property sustained smoke damage.

Fire crews remained at the incident for around 45 minutes.
