Single-vehicle road traffic collision on M62 motorway

M62 motorway, eastbound carriageway, between junctions five and six

Firefighters were called to a single-vehicle road traffic collision on the eastbound carriageway of the M62 motorway at 10.01am on Monday, January 29.

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called at 9.51am and crews were alerted at 9.53am. They were on scene at 10.01am.

One fire engine and the Search and Rescue Team attended the incident, which occurred between junctions five and six.

Fire crews used hydraulic cutting gear to bring a casualty to safety. The casualty was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Firefighters made the scene safe and remained at the incident for around one hour and 50 minutes.
