Bedroom fire in Heswall, Wirral

Firefighters were called to a bedroom fire at a property on Westway in Heswall, Wirral at 5.09pm on Saturday, February 3.

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called at 5.03pm and crews were alerted 45 seconds later. They were on scene at 5.09pm.

Two fire engines attended the incident and crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

One person was assessed at the scene by paramedics and taken to hospital for further checks.

A quantity of quilt and carpet were damaged by fire. A bedroom, conservatory and hall sustained smoke damage.

Firefighters carried out a Home Fire Safety Check and remained at the incident for around 35 minutes.
