Bedroom fire at property in Wallasey, Wirral

Firefighters were called to a fire at a property on King Street in Wallasey, Wirral at 8.03pm on Wednesday, February 28.

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called at 7.58pm and crews were alerted at 7.59pm. They were on scene at 8.03pm.

Two fire engines attended the incident and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire. They then ventilated the area.

One person was assessed at the scene by paramedics and taken to hospital for further checks.

A bedroom and its contents were damaged by fire. The second floor of the property sustained smoke damage.

Crews remained at the incident for around one hour and 35 minutes.
