Firefighters attended a road traffic collision on the East Lancashire Road in Croxteth on Tuesday 3rd March.

Crews were alerted at 11.31am and on scene at 11.35am. Two fire engines attended as well as the search and rescue appliance.

On arrival crews found two vehicles - a HGV and a car - had been in collision close to the junction with Stonebridge Lane.

The person was then handed into the care of North West Ambulance Service and taken to hospital for further assessment.
