Balcony fire, Liver Building, Liverpool

Firefighters were called to a small fire on a balcony of the Liver Building in Liverpool city centre, on Friday, 26th June.

Crews were alerted at 10.20pm and on scene at 10.26pm. Six fire engines and an aerial appliance attended.

On arrival, crews found there was a fire on a first floor balcony.

Firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire and a 135 ladder to gain access and investigate internally.

The fire was extinguished by 10.38pm. Firefighters left the scene at 10.50pm.

There are not believed to be any injuries and the fire is thought to have involved a firework.
