Fire crews have been called to the scene of a building collapse in Ravenhead Road, St Helens this afternoon. Crews were alerted at 1.38pm and on scene at 1.44pm.
2 fire engines, the search and rescue team and the search and rescue dog and handler are in attendance.
Fire crews arrived to find a 2 storey commercial property with an additional 2 storey 'lookout post' which has collapsed in on itself, within the building's footprint. It is not believed that anyone is inside the building.
Merseyside Police are assisting crews in maintaining cordons on roads either side of the building. Please avoid the area. The incident is ongoing.
