Location: Bromborough, Wirral
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) attended an incident on Stadium Road, Bromborough, on the afternoon of Thursday 12 February.
Crews were alerted at 11.23 and on scene at 11.29 with two fire engines attending.
On arrival MFRS crews investigated reports of fire in an industrial oven conveyor belt line.
Firefighters liaised with on site staff and a tactical plan was devised. The affected conveyor belt was identified and isolated by the responsible person.
With no initial signs of fire, only smoke, crews continued to investigate and located the fire, committing two firefighters in breathing apparatus (BA) to fight and extinguish the fire.
The fire was extinguished at 12.41 and crews continued to damp down the scene and monitor temperatures.
Following the continual reduction of temperatures at scene, firefighters made up their equipment and handed over to the responsible person.
Crews left the scene at 13.53.
