Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service are in attendance at a building fire on Port Causeway, Bromborough, Wirral.

Crews were alerted a short time before 11pm on Wednesday 23rd February and four fire engines were on scene shortly after.

This is one 2 storey building approximately 25 x 10 metres involved in fire. 2 hose reel jets in use.

One main branch has been set up with two teams of two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus (BA) fighting the fire externally.

This is a well developed fire on the ground floor of the building. The main body of fire has now been extinguished.

Two firefighters wearing BA are damping down any potential hot spots with 2 high pressure hose reels. Gas and electricity to the property has been isolated.

Fire crews left the scene at 2.58am and the incident was handed over to Merseyside Police.
