Location: Knowsley
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service is in attendance at an incident at Knowsley Industrial Park, Knowsley.
Crews were alerted at 2.58am and arrived on scene at 3.05am to find a large fire measuring approximately 20m by 20m.
At the height of the incident there were six fire engines and an aerial appliance on scene.
Road closures were set up and the incident was sectorised, with crews working to fight the fire externally. The fire resulted in the warehouse collapsing.
Following diligent firefighting tactics, by 4.24am the fire was under control, and the aerial appliance was set up to scan the incident for heat sources.
At 5.32am the incident was scaled down, with two fire engines remaining on scene to continue fighting the fire in sector one.
Fire crews currently remain on scene, but outer cordons have been removed to allow for business continuity.
