Building Fire, Liverpool City Centre Eberle Street

Fire crews have been called to a fire on Eberle Street, Liverpool City Centre this afternoon.

Crews were on scene at 3.36pm with six fire engines in attendance.

On arrival crews found a three storey building with a fire in the roof space. 4 Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are fighting the fire internally using hose reel jets, with one main jet being used externally.

The incident has been sectorised. Three teams of firefighters with hose reel jets wearing breathing apparatus are cutting away ceiling to access the fire while a ladder has been pitched to allow firefighting at the rear of the building. The service drone is being used to enhance situational awareness.

Residents and businesses nearby should close windows and doors- the incident is ongoing and likely to go on for a significant period of time, please avoid the area as traffic disruption and road closures will be likely.
