Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) attended an incident on New Chester Road, Rock Ferry, on the evening of Saturday 11th October.
Crews were alerted at 17.56 and on scene at 18.02 with two fire engines attending.
On arrival this was a detached garage of brick built single storey construction measuring approximately five metres by three metres, involved in fire.
Firefighters used two hose reel jets at scene to bring the blaze under control. Due to significant structural damage to the brickwork and roof, the roof has collapsed.
A structural engineer has been requested, and MFRS crews damped down.
At 19.05 the incident was scaled down to one fire engine at scene.
An external handover then took place with a local authority building inspector, and Fire Service crews left the scene at 20.32.
