Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service attended an incident on Parr Street, Liverpool, in the early hours of 18 February.
Crews were alerted at 3.28am and on scene at 3.34am. Four fire engines attended.
On arrival, crews found a five storey building measuring approximately 25 by 30 metres with the ground floor involved in fire. Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were committed to the building to search for possible occupants.
A further two firefighters were deployed with a main jet hose to fight the fire.
Then incident was then sectorised, with external firefighting in sector one, and firefighters in sector two working to prevent fire spread.
By 5.50am the main body of fire was extinguished and crews continued to check for fire spread and hot spot the area.
At 7.48am all firefighting activity ceased and all persons were accounted for. Crews then left the scene.
One fire engine is currently on scene assisting with an investigation.
