Location: East Lancashire Road, Liverpool
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) attended an incident on the junction of Lower House Lane, and East Lancashire Road, on the evening of Friday 3 July.
Crews were alerted at 16.25 and on scene at 16.30, with three fire engines attending.
On arrival this was one double decker bus, with the rear section of the vehicle involved in fire.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus (BA) were committed using one hose reel jet to fight the fire.
MFRS crews conducted a search of the vehicle and the bus driver and passengers had been evacuated, with no injuries reported.
The fire was extinguished shortly after, and crews made the scene safe while monitoring temperatures.
Merseyside Police also attended to assist with traffic management.
