Fire crews have been called to a fire at a building used as a Car Wash on Knowsley Road, Bootle tonight.
Four fire engines are at the scene. Crews were alerted at 8.00pm and on scene at 8.04pm.
Firefighters arrived to find a single storey building used as a car wash around 30 x 20 metres in size well alight.
Two teams of two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus using a main branch hose and a high pressure hose reel gained entry to the building and extinguished a storage container, before tackling a caravan fire in the same location.
The fire was extinguished by 8.44pm and damping down continues. Cordons have been set up and electricity has been isolated. Please avoid the area.
