Fire crews were called to a fire at a car wash on Lodge Lane in Toxteth this evening. Crews were alerted at 8.12pm and on scene at 8.17pm.
4 fire engines are in attendance.
Crews arrived to find a car wash and the building at the site well alight.
4 firefighters wearing breathing apparatus fought the fire in 2 teams of 2 with High Pressure Hose Reels and the fire was extinguished by 8.35pm.
Crews are damping down the area and will be able to leave the area shortly.
There has been some traffic disruption and police are managing traffic flow. Avoid the area if possible.
