Cat rescued from kitchen fire, Speke

Location: Lovel Road, Speke

Firefighters attended a fire at a property on Lovel Road, Speke, on Sunday 16th August.

Crews were alerted at 3.58pm and on scene at 4.01pm. Two fire engines attended.

On arrival crews found a fire in the kitchen of the property.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and used a high pressure hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

One cat was rescued from the kitchen.

It is believed the fire started accidentally.

The ground floor of the property suffered serious smoke damage and the upstairs of the property suffered light smoke damage.

Crews left the scene at 4.18pm.
