Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service is in attendance at an incident on Dock Road, Seacombe.
Crews were alerted a 17.51 and arrived on scene at 17.55. Four fire engines, an aerial appliance and the service drone are currently on scene.
Crews arrived to find a two-storey derelict building involved in fire. Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus (BA) were immediately committed to the property to fight the fire using a main branch hose.
The incident has been sectorised, with two firefighters wearing BA fighting the fire internally using a main branch, and additional external firefighting using a hose reel jet.
The incident is ongoing so please avoid the area.
UPDATE – 20.10:
The fire was extinguished by 19.11 and BA use was ceased. Crews remained on scene to monitor temperatures and used the service drone to confirm the fire was extinguished.
