UPDATE 09.45 – Thursday 14 August

MFRS crews have worked diligently through the night to bring this incident to a positive conclusion and remain at scene.

A tactical plan has been established and the environment agency have been informed. Fire Service personnel are also liaising with the responsible person.

Following a comprehensive search of the premises, no sign of fire was found. Crews located a tank within the factory unit as the area of origin for the issuing smoke yesterday evening.

Firefighters in BA have routinely applied water to the external walls of the tank to cool the affected area and monitor temperatures, which have continued to decrease overnight.

Although the number of Fire Service resources at scene has been scaled down, this remains an ongoing incident, please continue to avoid the area.
