Location: Bootle, Sefton
Crews have been called to a fire at an industrial building on Lyster Road, Bootle. Crews were alerted at 12.19pm and on scene at 12.24pm, with two fire engines in attendance.
Crews arrived to find a shredding unit involved in fire and are using two main branch hoses to fight the fire. Electricity to the unit has been isolated.
There is a significant smoke plume in the area and local residents and businesses should stay indoors and keep doors and windows closed.
